PSP Pandora Battery

PLEASE NOTE: PSP Bricking is very rare, but can still happen during a Downgrade/ Upgrade. Downgrading/ Upgrading will VOID the Warranty of your PSP. Do this at your own risk.

If you have a PSP and want more from it, then CFW (Custom Firmware) is the way to go. Custom Firmware allows Homebrew applications to be run. SoF (Sony Original Firmware) v1.50 allowed Homebrew applications to be run and gave the PSP a massive appeal. Newer versions of SoF restrict the use of any and all Homebrew applications.

Creating a Pandora Battery:
Info:
A Pandora Battery will allow you to downgrade and un-Brick your PSP. This is only needed if you have SoF v3.51 and up or a Bricked PSP. The Memory Card will be flashed with the Pandora Battery Software and then your Battery will be set to Service Mode, becoming a Pandora Battery. In order to make a Pandora Battery you’ll need a PSP with CFW already installed. So ask a friend! You will also need a standard PSP Battery (The one that comes with your PSP) and a Memory Card PRO DUO smaller then 4GB. I have never attempted to create a Pandora Battery before this post. So lets see what happens!!

Requirements:
- Standard PSP Battery.
- Memory Card PRO DUO smaller then 4GB.
- USB Cable.
- PSP with CFW & 1.50 ADDON

Backup Your Memory Card
Connect your PSP to your computer using the USB Cable. Open your Memory Card on your computer and backup anything you’d like to save. E.g. SAVEGAMES, PICTURES etc.
(Navigation: Settings->USB Connection)
Once completed exit USB Mode on your PSP.

Creating and Reverting a Pandora Battery and Memory Card
You can search for the Pandora Battery Software from: here
Once you have the 13MB file extract it and install it to your C:\ drive. Open the folder C:\Pandorasbox and run “Pandora’s Box.exe”. This will bring up a menu. Click the second button. Command Prompt should open and give you a step by step guide.

REMEMBER TO BACKUP YOUR BATTERY BY PRESSING (Triangle), when creating the battery.

Follow the questions word for word and once finished you will have a “Pandora Battery and Memory Card”.

To convert your battery back to normal take it out of your PSP, plug in the AC Power and once it has started up place your battery back in and run “Battery Creator”, Press [] (Square) it will write a random serial to your battery and exit, run “Battery Creator” again and press R+L trigger keys. This will write the “eeprom.bin” information back to your battery.

To convert your Memory Card back to normal just format it through the PSP. Remember to backup the Memory Card so you don’t lose your batteries information!

Make sure you backup your Pandora Memory Card and keep it safe so that if something happens to your Memory Card you will have your battery information!

Finished testing this and everything works perfectly. Converted to a Pandora Battery, downgraded another PSP and reconverted it back to normal. Tested a game and its all working!

Hope this has helped you! Enjoy!
